Nira reads PIX4Dmatic's calibrated camera data, so your original photos show up in the viewer as camera markers with a photo strip alongside your mesh and point cloud.

PIX4Dmatic keeps the camera data and the mesh in separate exports, so there are two exports to run before you upload.

1. Export the camera data as OPF

In PIX4Dmatic, choose File > Export > Project as OPF... and enable both checkboxes:

  • Input cameras
  • Calibration

"Input cameras" on its own does not contain the calibrated camera data, and Nira will ask you to re-export.

2. Export the mesh

The OPF export does not include your mesh, so export it separately with File > Export > Mesh as OBJ. That produces mesh.obj, mesh.mtl, the texture files, and offset.xyz. Upload all of them.

3. Drag everything into Nira

  1. Drag the exported opf folder into your Nira dashboard. Dragging the whole folder is fine: Nira uploads only the files it needs and skips the bulk of it (project intermediates, tie points, depth maps).
  2. Drag in your exported mesh files (mesh.obj, mesh.mtl, the textures, and offset.xyz).
  3. Drag in your original photos. Photos are matched to the cameras by filename, so upload the originals under their original names.
  4. Optionally drag in your dense point cloud, exported as .las or .laz.
  5. Enter an asset name and click Start Upload. The asset type is set to Reality Data automatically.

The upload dialog guides you at each stage with an on-screen message, so you can drag the files in any order, or all at once.

Once everything is in, name the asset and start the upload:
