We are continuously adding support for more formats so please reach out to us if you need something that is not listed here.
3D Scene files:
- Static Mesh: OBJ, ABC, DAE, FBX, glTF, GLB, PLY, STL
- Animated: ABC, DAE, FBX, glTF, GLB
- Point clouds: LAS/LAZ, and e57 (More info about point cloud support)
- Enterprise account optional add-ons: ZPR/ZTL, USD/USDC/USDA/USDZ, MA/MB, BLEND
Notes:
DXF shape data (linework) is currently supported but only for orthomosaic overlays.
OBJ is the recommended filetype for photogrammetry models.
BLEND, MA/MB, USD, and ZPR/ZTL are only available on enterprise accounts, and enabled by request only (contact us). BLEND currently only has support for basic polygonal geometry.
3D Camera files:
- CSV (from RealityCapture)
- TXT/XML (from Agisoft Metashape, Bentley iTwin, and DJI Terra)
- ABC
- FBX
Image files:
- 2D Textures: JPG (recommended), PNG, TIFF, GIF, TGA, EXR, BMP, DDS, PSD
- Photographs: JPG, PNG, TIFF
- Orthomosaics: TIFF, TIF
Design Overlays:
- DXF (currently only displayed over 2D orthomosaic maps)
Nira will attempt to automatically classify your image files as either textures or photographs/orthomosaics. For more information about image ingestion and classification, see this article.
Standalone panoramic images
Panoramic 360 images can be uploaded as JPG images with a CSV file containing their positions, alongside mesh or 3D Gaussian splat data. E57 is also supported for panoramic scan workflows. Panorama visibility is controlled separately from point cloud visibility, so hiding the points does not require hiding panoramas.
